The Good Rose symbolises Care, Happiness, Appreciation & Gratitude, Attention, Faith, Fellowship & Friendship, Forgiveness, Freedom, Harmony, Hope, Light, Mental support, Openness & Understanding, Peace, Purity, Purpose, Simplicity, Tolerance & Flexibility, Trust, Tenderness, Thanks and Love to and towards others, creates Smiles and so much more…

The Good Rose was created in Thailand more then 18 years ago (around 1990) by villagers who usually assemble Buddhist Temple flowers and decorations.
The Corolla which is an old Japanese Origami art (folded paper) was available in all sizes and colors. Wire and Green sticky paper were to be found too. A designer co-ordinated a few ladies as part of developing new decorations, to hand cut the leafs and glue them on a small piece of wire(soon later a cutting mold was made and the leaves got their present form). Then, the three components (Corolla, leaf & wire) were put together, bonded by the green paper This process is still in use today.
...The mini rose is now available at a few Sam Peng stores (a Bangkok market) and to order in China.

Throughout the years a few people kept on forwarding flowers to others, whenever suitable and possible. Worldwide many smiles and happy moments were initiated, symbolizing care, peace, hope and more.
Often the rose forwarders were approached by the receivers (who fancied the idea), with the question “where could the mini rose be purchased / found?” explaining that they would like to adopt the rose giving idea, use it in celebrations and so on. Since quite some time, the thought about creating this platform was mentioned and discussed. Then around November 2007 the Good Rose friends decided to put the effort and create this website. It required over a year of work and many resources to coordinate and prepare the design, production, packing solutions, storage, shipping and a financial system… The results are here for you to view, enjoy and use.

As we wish and hope to promote and sponsor positive activities and good deeds around the globe we would like to welcome support from those who would like to be involved with us and to spread the word.

If you would like to join, help us in any way or have an idea to help our activities, please let us know. As we are still a growing group of Good Rose friends, we may have difficulties answering all questions and requests quickly. We invite people who would like to take part in our activities to help organize and store roses stock for local group handing events, answer e-mails and requests, become regional coordinators and so on… Everyone can participate, young and old, teachers and pupils, no matter what race, religion or financial status. Individuals, groups, organizations, schools at events of all kinds and so on… We wish to free the Good Rose movement from personal advantage and commercial interests and avoid statements which may cause offence to any person(s) and/or ethnic group…

Good Rose basic shipping quantity is 100 Good Roses, packed together in a recycled envelope
(= two self standing cardboard vases with 50 ~7.5cm stem length Red color roses and an info page).
Other standard shipping quantities are 500, 1000 and 5000 roses packed together in zipper bags.
If more then 5000 roses are desired we suggest to contact us and decide together how to proceed.
In Thailand and China roses are available in various colors, sizes and stem length.

We checked the possibilities and concluded that a charity organization requires considerable administration as Governments and tax authorities try to prevent charity organization frauds. In order to save funds and allow the Good Rose to be shipped for lower costs we chose to locate the company in Hong Kong, from where the envelopes are sent. In this way we save funds but keep the financial system tidy and as transparent as possible.

The payments for the ordered Good Roses are calculated to cover the costs and allow support and sponsoring of positive activities as well as promoting Good Roses generally. If and when income exceeds running costs then agreed sums may be used towards other similar care and good deeds.
